This is done, among other things, for the purpose of providing a functioning online offering, communicating with the users of our website, processing contact requests or customer inquiries and for the purpose of contract fulfillment. Furthermore, data may be collected and processed for marketing purposes.
In the following, we will explain to you which of your data may be collected and processed and for what purpose.

We process the aforementioned data - if collected - for the following purposes:
- Ensuring a smooth connection to the website,

The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest follows from the purposes for data collection listed above. Under no circumstances do we use the data collected for the purpose of drawing conclusions about your person.
In addition, we may use cookies and online services when you visit our website. You can find more detailed explanations in this privacy policy.

This is done in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR: The data subject has given their consent to the processing of their personal data for one or more purposes. Creating a dustlight account is optional (opt-in), it is not a prerequisite for using the services. Transmitted information is stored in the dustlight cloud. The following information is collected and stored until it is deleted by the user:
- Nickname
- Email address
- Date, time and location of a particulate matter measurement
- Particulate matter measured value

We process the aforementioned data - if collected - for the following purposes:
- Ensuring convenient use of our service
- for anonymized statistical analyses.
The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a) GDPR. Under no circumstances do we use the data collected for the purpose of drawing conclusions about your person.
Contract initiation/contract fulfillment
We process personal data that we receive as part of pre-contractual inquiries and as part of our business relationship. For example, the following personal data may be collected and processed by us: Title, first name and surname, address, telephone number, e-mail address, IBAN / credit card number plus check digit (in each case only insofar as this is necessary for processing payments).
Furthermore, data may be passed on to third parties (see point 5 "Passing on data to third parties" in this privacy policy).
The processing and storage of your transmitted data takes place on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR for the purpose of fulfilling a contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In other cases, we process and store your data on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR and on the basis of our legitimate interest in processing the request addressed to us in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.
When registering for our newsletter
You have the option of subscribing to our newsletter. To do this, we need your e-mail address and, if applicable, your name as voluntary information for the purpose of addressing you in the newsletter.
We work with the so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that once you have registered, you will receive an e-mail from us asking you to confirm your registration. By clicking on the activation link contained in the e-mail, you confirm that you are the owner of the e-mail address and wish to receive the newsletter. If you have given your express consent, we will use your e-mail address on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR to send you our newsletter with information about our offers at regular intervals.
If you do not confirm the activation link within three weeks, we will delete the e-mail address registered for the newsletter.
The data collected is only used to send the newsletter and to document your consent. When you register for the newsletter, we store your IP address and the date of registration. This storage serves solely as proof in the event that a third party misuses an email address and registers to receive the newsletter without the knowledge of the authorized party.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time and revoke your consent, with the result that the data stored by us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be deleted and you will no longer receive a newsletter from us. Data stored by us for other purposes will remain unaffected by this. You can declare your revocation by clicking on the unsubscribe link provided in every newsletter email or by sending a message to the contact details given in the legal notice.
When using our contact form
For questions of any kind, we offer you the opportunity to contact us via a form provided on the website. It is necessary to provide your first and last name and a valid e-mail address so that we know who sent the request and can answer it. If necessary, the telephone number can be provided voluntarily.
The processing and storage of your transmitted data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR for the purpose of processing your request. Furthermore, we process your data on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR and on the basis of our legitimate interest in processing the request addressed to us in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.
- Storage period and data deletion
We only store personal data until the purpose for which you have entrusted us with the data has been fulfilled. The data will then be permanently deleted. However, if there are statutory retention periods for the storage of personal data, we will store it for as long as we are legally obliged to do so. Such obligations regularly arise from legal obligations to provide evidence and retain data, which are regulated in the German Commercial Code and the German Fiscal Code, for example ten years for tax purposes. Once the statutory retention period has expired, the data is permanently deleted.
Consent to the processing and storage of your personal data in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR can be revoked at any time with the consequence that the data - provided there are no legal retention periods to the contrary - will be permanently deleted.
Further rights that may prohibit us from processing your personal data arise from Art. 21 (1) and (2) GDPR. Information on the resulting right to object can be found in this privacy policy under section 14 "Right to object".
- Disclosure of data to third parties
We only pass on your personal data to third parties if:
- you have given your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR,
- the disclosure pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR is necessary to safeguard our legitimate interests or those of a third party, e.g. for the exercise, defense or assertion of legal claims, unless your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms, which require the protection of personal data, prevail,
- in the event that there is a legal obligation for disclosure pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c GDPR,
- this is legally permissible and necessary for the processing of contractual relationships with you in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR, such as the transfer of address data to a transport company. Data may also be passed on to a drop shipper who then sends the goods to you on our behalf. If you order goods that are to be sent to an address other than yours, this is done on the basis of our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR in the proper execution of the contractual relationship, as well as
- pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR for the purpose of payment processing to the payment service provider commissioned with payment processing and pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR within the scope of our legitimate interests in being able to offer reliable and secure payment processes.
If necessary, an order processing contract was concluded with the service provider used in accordance with Art. 28 para. 3 sentence 1 GDPR.
In the event that the customer's personal data is processed in a third country (outside the EU), this is done with the customer's prior consent, as part of the fulfillment of the contract or due to existing legal obligations. The possible transfer takes place in compliance with the legal requirements. In particular, the provisions of Art. 44 to Art. 49 GDPR apply here.

In addition, Leadinfo sets two first-party cookies to evaluate user behavior on our website and processes domains from form entries (e.g. "leadinfo.com") in order to correlate IP addresses with companies and improve services. Further information can be found at www.leadinfo.com. On this page: www.leadinfo.com/en/opt-out you have an opt-out option. If you opt out, your data will no longer be collected by Leadinfo.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics on our website, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC. The company responsible for the European area is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google").
Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies" (see section 7 "Cookies"). The information generated by the cookies about the use of this website is transmitted directly to Google servers, possibly in the USA, and stored there. We have activated IP anonymization on this website so that the IP address is shortened by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area beforehand. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website for the purpose of evaluating the use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.
The storage period for the personal data collected is 14 months. The data will be deleted after the storage period has expired.
You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to the use of the website (including the IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
If you do not agree with the display of advertisements, you can deactivate them: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb

Facebook pixel, custom audiences and Facebook conversion
We use the so-called Facebook pixel on our websites, an analysis tool of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc, 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or - if you are based in the EU - Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland.
The Facebook pixel tracks user behavior on our website by means of so-called events. A pixel event is additional information that adds details to the information sent to Facebook. Events allow Facebook to be informed about which action (e.g. purchase, registration, lead, search, etc.) was performed on our site. The pixel is used on our site in standard mode (first party cookie).
Details on how the Facebook pixel works can be found in the Facebook help section at:
https://www.facebook.com/business/help/651294705016616
In the case of previously granted consent, we can transmit information from our customers to Facebook as part of the so-called "Custom Audiences", so that Facebook is able to assign visitors to our online offer to a specific target group on the basis of the information received and then place appropriately tailored advertising for them (so-called "Facebook Ads"). This means that advertising - including across devices - is only displayed to users who have also shown an interest in our products. Furthermore, we can see whether customers have been redirected from a Facebook advertising page to our site and have performed certain actions (so-called conversions), such as the purchase of a specific product. This allows us to evaluate the effectiveness of the advertisements for statistical purposes based on the conversions.
As part of the extended data synchronization, personal data of the user is collected and forwarded to Facebook servers, possibly in the USA. Facebook can link the data to the user's Facebook account if the user is registered with Facebook. Even if you are not registered with Facebook, Facebook may process and store data (including your IP address).
You can object to the collection by Facebook pixels and the use of your data to display Facebook ads. You can also determine your advertising preferences, i.e. which specific types of ads should be displayed to you within Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads
