Particle size distribution
With the new particle size distribution feature, Dustlight not only shows the dust concentration, but also the size of the inhaled particles
Why this is important:
- Health relevance: Small particles (such as respirable dust) reach the alveoli and are often more dangerous than larger particles.
- Strategy optimization: Measures such as extraction or respiratory protection can be evaluated more specifically.
- Transparency: The particle distribution shows whether, for example, predominantly respirable fine dust or coarse dust is present.
Insights into TWA & STEL
Dustlight records both the short-term exposure limit (STEL) and the time-weighted average (TWA) and shows how dust affects health at critical moments and over longer periods of time.
